HUGE COUNTRY GARDEN RENOVATION

BELOW A SMALLER BEFORE and AFTER…this time in THE NEW FOREST HAMPSHIRE and part of a much larger LANDSCAPING, POND and PLANTING PROJECT

HERE BELOW IN OXFORDSHIRE…A HUSBAND’S ATTEMPT TO GIVE HIS WIFE A “NATURAL” POND…good effort, here is what we changed it to:

NEW FOREST (Lymington Hampshire) AND A BADLY NEGLECTED WOODLAND WILDLIFE POND

FULL OF SLUDGE AND STAGNANT…here we are infilling “dead areas” of the pond, where the Mosquito lived,the rest of the pond was de-sludged and planted. AND BELOW THE SAME POND TRANSFORMED

ESSEX…WELL WHAT CAN YOU SAY ABOUT THIS! UNDER THERE SOMEWHERE IS A BRIDGE…AND AN ISLAND!

Next looking back the other way. …WE CREATED A VIEWING DECK AND WATERFALLS TO KEEP THE WATER FRESH.

RENOVATED THE BRIDGE AND THE ISLAND…and in the second image you can see the pond is being filled to hide all of the liner.

It was also planted with 100’s of wildlife attracting creatures instead of Mosquito’s

just look at that…basically they have dug a hole in the ground, UNPLANTABLE

THIS IS HOW WE PLANT, ALTHOUGH USUALLY NOT AS LUSH AS THIS,

BUT THIS WAS FOR A REAL OLD FASHIONED GARDENER!

Below, in NEWBURY Berkshire,

we were asked to naturalise this concrete Koi Pond!!!

WHAT…YOU WANT US TO PLANT THAT…

OF COURSE WE HAVE WAYS

AND WE EVEN ADDED A STREAM AND EITHER SIDE

YOU CAN SEE HOW WE DISGUISED THE CONCRETE

AND PALANTED NOT JUST HERE BUT ALL AROUND

AND BELOW A HIDEOUS (NON-NATURAL STREAM) BEING RIPPED OUT.

Note, the moral of ALL of these examples is make sure you actually look at previous work

to know what you are likely to get.

All of ours rely on using real natural stone,

most other dig holes and fill with boulders and pebbles, which is much easier to do!

BELOW THIS IS HOW A PROPER “NATURAL STREAM SHOULD LOOK,

OURS, AS YOU WILL SEE, REALLY DO COPY NATURE…

BUT OUR NATURALISTIC METHODS ARE BEYOND 99% OF OUR “COMPETITORS.”

AT THIS POINT SOME OF YOU WILL BE THINKING…oooh that looks expensive, WELL NATURAL STONE IS EXPENSIVE, and it has to be laid in a naturalistic way, which is way more time consuming that tipping a barrowloads of cobbles into a hole! So, look below, compare the difference, and if you think that is natural you are on the wrong website!

And also please note, in these thoughtful times,

consider where glacial boulders and cobbles come from,

all of the stone that we use IS A BI-PRODUCT of natural walling

and would be turned into hardcore if we didn’t use it to make beautiful features,

whereas Glacial Boulders are irreplaceable,

dug out of the ground after laying there for millions of years.

And really if at all they should used sparingly!
